Has It Been A Week Already?
Geez, time flies when you're overworked, busy, out of town and sick. Last week I finally made the trip to the doctor after drinking more than enough cough syrup, thank you. There was the bad during this time period: Yankees losing the World Series to the Florida Marlins. There was the good: going to see a play at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. This last weekend had it's good points as well. On Saturday, at the very last minute, I saw that Skerik's Syncopated Taint Septet was playing in town. I had previously seen Skerik play in the band Critters Buggin but that required a drive 140 miles away to see. So when I saw that the group was playing at a small local club, I jumped up and took the wife to go see some Syncopated madness. All I can say is if Skerik touches it, the music is good. If Skerik comes to town near you, don't miss the chance to see him. With Baseball playoffs just ending, it's now time for the 2003-2004 NBA season. It will be nice to finally see some basketball, rather than hearing about Kobe or Eddie Griffin's off-court mischief. Is LeBron the answer? I think not.
