Walk It Off / Missing Person Report

Seemed like a good day to walk it off. Yes, walk off this and walk off that. Just a brief visit to Fred Meyer earlier today and dealing with the people and traffic, gave me more reasons to need to walk it off. Well, part of the theme was listening to the new album from Tapes N Tapes, and doing the Pilot Butte walk. After my last time walking up the butte I was teased a bit because I drove to the parking lot and then walked it. Hmmmmmmmm.... Well, not today.

I headed out in my coat, since the sky was grey and the wind was blowing. I did the six-block walk to the base where the gate to the butte was open. I was hoping that there would be no cars on it, but it didn't matter. As I neared the SUV, a police office approached me and mentioned that the butte was closed due to a missing person report.

I turned around and walked back home, taking the slightly longer route. I guess I still walked about the same amount if I had driven to the parking lot at the butte and then proceeded to walk it. Oh well. Maybe I did walk it off after all, maybe not.

Hopefully the missing person is found soon. In more ways than one.
