No fooling the monkey on this day. I woke up well aware of what day it was and even the radio pranks that blared through my alarm clock didn't trick me for a second. Truly, April 1st is a day for fools and for fooling around. In some ways it's a bit frustrating because it's hard to know if you can believe anything you read, hear or see on this day. You don't want to appear foolish now, do you?
Who's more foolish: the fool, or the fool who follows him? That's certainly one epic quotation about fools and certainly one that's very true. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. So, a general lack of foolishness on my part today. Maybe I'm not in the mood for trickery. Is the monkey simply getting too old for this stuff? Hmmmmmmmmm.. So, Spring is here? I love the cold arctic winds and the rain, snow flurries and grey skies. Yeah, the calendar might have fooled us, but it didn't fool Punxsutawney Phil who proudly proclaimed (as ground hogs do) that there would be six more weeks of winter. Damn straight. Well, how's that for you? An April Fools day post that is full of insight and seriousness. At least I kept it real and didn't post this entry backwards or anything.
