A Long Wait For An Epic Post Or Just A Long Wait

02.16.2010

Epic

Hello, is this thing on? Geez, with my last post more than a month ago, it might be time to change the name of this thing to the Monthly Monkey, I Tripped on a banana and can't get up to write anything or something along those lines.

So, did I wait this long because I had an epic entry to post with Olympic proportions? Not exactly. Things have been busy with Mighty Magnus around here. Life in general has kept me busy as well. Projects to do, identities to be reclaimed as well as other trivial pop culture and those sorts of things.

Back in January my photo project with Magnus started up. I decided to look back after a month and put together a little video of some of the photos that went into it:

Magnus, monkeys, and plenty of photos from Chris on Vimeo.

Yeah, this video made it on Facebook first, so the stalkers might have already watched it. If not, there you go.

On Olympic related news, The Teacher and I were discussing how if we tried pairs figure skating ourselves, we'd probably look a little odd compared to the other 5'-0" tall skaters. We watched former off-ice couple Jessica Dube / Bryce Davison skate and I sort of wondered if there was any past aggression when he threw he into the air and she bit it on the ice. How's that for cold revenge?

Speaking of cold revenge, once again I felt the desire to inflict doom and gloom onto the scum whole stole my debit card number and tried to ring up some charges. Thankfully, I happened to log onto my online banking account the day it happened and quickly called the 1-866 number to cancel the card. I actually first dialed 1-800-4UMPQUA and found out it was far from my financial institution. I was especially happy to stop one order that was still processing, so at best the scum only got $25.

In pop-culture related news The Teacher and I dived into Lost THE FINAL SEASON. Yes, if you haven't noticed, it's THE FINAL SEASON. I love how on every episode, they announce: Lost : THE FINAL SEASON. Really, I didn't have a clue. So, just in case you didn't get it, we are enjoying Lost : THE FINAL SEASON.

And while the rest of the country is buried under several feet of snow, it feels like Springtime here. It has certainly made it easier to get back into a routine of walking Pilot Butte, which is probably a good thing I just spied a pile of Girl Scout cookies on the counter that The Teacher procured. Girl Scout cookies. The horror. The horror. Hopefully they won't be the end of me, or this site. I don't feel like it's THE FINAL SEASON just quite yet.
